Easily download the regions you travel in (up to 100 MB file size) to
the included memory card, from 4 CD ROMs containing advanced mapping of

highways of Canada. Freely download and overwrite new maps before

time it takes to log on to the Internet to get directions. The Magellan

Easily enter addresses with QuickSpell® QuickSpell intelligently sorts, searches, and checks spelling for rapid address entry with minimal keystrokes, accelerating your data entry by matching letters to the available destinations. Auto Re-route The Magellan RoadMate 500 automatically calculates a new route when you decide to take a detour because of heavy traffic, a closed road or just to grab a cup of coffee. Address Book Store up to 100 personal or business destinations per user for a total of 300. Each user can personally select their top three to keep them handy. Instant Locate Provides information about your present location so you can easily direct emergency services and roadside assistance. The VSM Comes complete with step-by-step instructions for a
professional installation. Using the magellan Easy Swivel Mount
(Supplied) with the Pro-Fit VSM allows for one hand adjustment for
optimum viewing angle of the Magellan®
RoadMate. Although an instruction sheet is provided for the experienced
do-it-yourselfer who may wish to install the VSM Kit, professional
installation by an authorized dealer recommended.
The VSM KIT includes: · Magellan RoadMate Cradle Make using your Magellan® RoadMate™ in multiple vehicles even easier with this universal Fixed mount cradle. Magellan RoadMate is compact and lightweight, easily transferable between vehicles. With another permanently mounted cradle in a second vehicle, you can move your Magellan RoadMate back and forth without moving or readjusting the mount. A: If you are stationary and the unit is connected correctly, you should get your first positioning information within about 5 minutes or less. If your vehicle is moving, it will take a longer period of time – possibly as much as 10 minutes or more depending on environmental conditions. Q: How many points of interest are available? A: The Magellan® RoadMate currently contains about 2 million Points of Interest available in over 40 different categories. Q: How many addresses can be entered into the address book? A: You can enter up to 100 addresses Q: Can the Magellan® RoadMate be used as a Handheld GPS? A: Magellan® does not currently offer any accessories that would allow you to do this, however there are other sources for power that may be used to allow you to use this in a handheld mode of operation.
