You do not have
the LATEST MAGELLAN ROADMATE SYSTEM unless a reseller is SPECIFICALLY
stating they are selling a Magellan Roadmate with VERSION 3.52 Firmware.
If you
don't
have the latest FIRMWARE your Roadmate may have problems and it will
not have all of the latest features available - (see
below)
If
you
have/had
Versions 2.3 thru 3.13 and upgraded to version 3.14 you get the
following enhancements
- Cold
temperature start-up of the internal hard drive - (Without the update your Roadmate
would not start in the cold)

Versions 3.20 or 3.44 and upgrade or buy Just
Released Version 3.52 you get the
following feature upgrades, enhancements, and language support.

Upgrades
- Split Screen TrueView – Both
TrueView and the map are displayed on the screen at same
time.
- POI (Point of Interest) Icons -
Category specific POI icons can be displayed on the map screen. The
checked POI’s will be displayed on the map screen when the map view is
set at ½ mile or below.
- Route to POI’s by Touching POI Icon
- POI’s on the map screen can be routed to by touching the POI. When
you
touch a POI icon, the POI name and address is displayed on the screen.
You can then route to the selected POI.
- New Locate Screen - Speedometer and
compass information have been added to the Locate Screen. When locate
is selected, you will be able to see vehicle speed and direction of
travel in addition to state, city, county, previous cross-street, and
next cross-street information.
- Previous City List – Cities for the
last 9 routes are now stored in memory. When searching for an address
or intersection you now have the option to narrow your search to one of
the last ten cities in memory. This feature is very helpful if you
travel to addresses and intersections in the same cities.
Simulation Mode - A driving simulation mode will simulate a
route.
